The world’s most beloved choir has been thrilling audiences young and old for over 500 years. For five centuries the Vienna Boys’ Choir have enchanted millions with their unique charm and exceptionally beautiful singing. The choir’s repertoire includes everything from medieval to contemporary and experimental music. In concert, they present superbly entertaining programs that feature short operettas (in costume), sacred works and a broad range of secular and folk music. Joliet Drama Guild continues their 76th season, "A Mischievous Season," with the hilarious comedy about an acting couple whose careers are fading. Charlotte is going to leave George, who is drunk, and the audience may be seeing an odd mixture of "Cryano" and "Private Lives" as events spiral out of control. Shows are Fridays and Saturdays 8:00pm, Sundays 2:00pm. Tickets $10 (adults) and $9 (students, seniors) Discounts available for groups and season passes. Tickets available through JDG website.

The Preservation Hall Jazz Band derives its name from Preservation Hall, the venerable music venue located in the heart of New Orleans’ French Quarter. The band has traveled worldwide spreading their mission to nurture and perpetuate the art form of New Orleans Jazz. Whether performing at Carnegie Hall or Lincoln Center, for British Royalty or the King of Thailand, this music embodies a joyful, timeless spirit. Under the auspices of current director, Ben Jaffe, the son of founders Allan and Sandra, Preservation Hall continues with a deep reverence and consciousness of its greatest attributes in the modern day as a venue, band and record label.
