(All Ages) Wild animals make the library their home, when Kim Schilling, director of the rescue organization Animals for Awareness stops by with several furry friends. The program will focus on choosing the right pet and the adoption process. Patrons will be able to get up close and personal with the animals as they learn the importance of taking care of all creatures’ great and small. 6:30pm

Wrangle your watercraft and join the fun on water and land from lighted boat parade, live bands, free pony rides and petting zoo, more children’s activities, fireworks, festive food and more. Boaters welcomed with special “boaters only” events starting July 13 and parade incentives. Boaters may register on-line. Public joins the fun on Thursday 6:30pm “Concert On The Hill,” Friday 5– 10:30pm and Saturday 12– 10:30pm. Lighted boat parade/ contest Saturday 9:15pm. Free fest admission and parking.

Based on the “The Princess and the Pea,” the young prince must wed before anyone in the cursed kingdom may enter holy matrimony. However, the mother queen reigns holy terror on every applicant. One young princess may have a shot of passing the test, breaking the curse and winning the prince in the bonus round. May order tickets on-line or call JDG for reservations. Tickets $13 adults, $11 students/seniors, group discounts for 15 or more. Friday and Saturday shows 8pm, Sunday 2pm.
